These professionally drafted plans will enable you to build your own top bar hive to the Gold Star Standard!  They even include ALL the hardware required - saving you multiple trips to the hardware store for ones and twos of small fasteners that usually have to be purchased in quantities well beyond what you actually need.

Interchangeability is very important among top bar beekeepers.  In the event you ever needed to move brood or food from one top bar hive into another, whether yours or a fellow beeks, wouldn't you want the equipment to fit?  Identical, interchangeable parts makes this possible, which helps more folks to keep bees in this natural, bee-friendly way!

This kit contains D-I-Y Kit #1 as well as thirty of the finest one-piece, bevel point top bars available, two follower boards, and ten spacers.  Nothing keeps your bees on track making straight honeycomb like the bevelled point you'll find here.  (Please note:  Only 3 of the 30 top bars are shown in the photo above.)
 
And - since the entire rest of the hive is built to the size and shape of the two all-important follower boards, with this combination you simply cannot go wrong.  
 
Experienced carpenters will tell you that our bevel point top bar is a fine piece of woodworking, and they will also tell you that it is risky for the home carpenter using a table saw, and that this is a great way to go if you like having all ten fingers!
