Hive Details

Top Bar Beehive Kit Features

The hive's beveled top bars help bees make their own natural honeycomb—straight as an arrow!

A 36-inch observation window in the side of each hive lets you inspect—not disturb—your  bees.

The screened bottom panel and adjustable bottom board promote healthy ventilation and mite control.

It's easy to assemble - requiring only a screwdriver and a staple gun.

It's generous, measuring 48 inches long, 18 inches wide, and 41 inches high at the roof's peak.

Sturdy legs raise the hive to counter height. It's simple to manage and needs no heavy lifting.

Constructed in Maine of solid wood, it's protected by only non-toxic paints and caulks.

Included with each hive: An electronic copy of PJ Chandler’s book – The Barefoot Beekeeper.

The New Englander Model

The New Englander model’s roof is black. The black roof is intended for hives used in cooler climates, to help retain warmth in the hive, especially in places where winters are harsh.

The Arizona Model

The Arizona model’s roof is white. The white roof helps to reflect heat away in very hot climates where the bees must work hard to cool the hive.
