Gearing up for Bee Season 2018

Gearing up for Bee Season 2018

Posted by Christy Hemenway on Jan 8th 2018

Welcome to 2018!  There are plenty of reasons for us to be glad it's here - and only one of those reasons is the new digs.  Over the holidays, Gold Star Honeybees relocated to the great state of North Carolina, to the town of Spruce Pine.  It is utterly gorgeous here in the mountains of Western North Carolina.  Sometimes it just stops you right in your tracks.

I just wanted to take a moment to reflect on how nuts life has been since last June when that house caught on fire and upended my formerly somewhat "normal" life. As normal as a beekeeper's life ever is, anyway. There's been a lot to get organized - rental truck, long drive, new place to live, new phone number, transfer all the business fine print, unpack box after box after box, etc., etc., and it's been a little overwhelming between phone setup and website updates and getting all the behind the scenes analysis done to start selling this year's bees.  But I'm pleased (and relieved) to say that in another week or so we should be into the swing of all things Bee for 2018.  That'll actually be a little ahead of schedule, so... Yay!

Thanks to everyone whose been supportive while we made this move, and don't hesitate to let us know if you find any quirks in the phone or the website. Thanks so much!

Bzzzzzt!
