Meanwhile here's the scoop on the bees!
Gold Star Honeybees are raised treatment-free.
They are 3-pound packages with naturally mated, unmarked queens. The queen ships in a small cage of her own, tucked inside the package, along with several attendant bees.
They are raised on small-cell foundation, making them ideal for all hive types where the bees will make their own wax. They are just fine for all other hive types too.
They are "mutt bees" - a very hardy mix of Russian, Italian, and Carniolan genetics.
They are "four season bees" - acclimated to a climate with four seasons and winter hardy! They are raised in northern Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina and the great state of Tennessee and they will ship to you from Maryland.

Great service received my order 3 days after initial shipping date. Bees all seemed healthy

Package Bees
Rcvd the package bees very quickly. Very few dead bees in the box and it appears that it came with lots of young bees which is great! installed the package into a hive , hope they accept the queen. I will update my review once the queen starts laying and ill share the brood pattern and any other info that may be helpful, gold star honeybees delivered what seems to be a great package , I will order from them again, its little more expensive than getting a local package but when its late in the season and everyone local is out of bees these guys still have them so its worth the extra cost in my opinion.
